So there’s been some changes around here. After some consideration, I decided to end the Evocraft community forum – it wasn’t an active part of the website, and I’d like to replace it with something much better. I send my thanks to everyone who participated in the forum, and to all of you who continue to support this project.
I envision Evocraft as an evolving system. The game is an ongoing experiment: it’s a project that continues to build in new ways, always trying to create an ideal world-building environment. Even though I’ve been super busy with school, I’m pleased to announce: I’m putting together a prototype for Evocraft Space. In Space, you can fly ships, use light swords, and all that fun stuff. Oh, and of course it will have the signature sandbox aspect that you see in the original Evocraft.
One of my goals with Space and beyond is to find ways to include you – the community. I want to make it easy for people to contribute mods, expansions, articles, etc. My idea is that I will write the basic framework of Evocraft Space. You’ll get a rulebook with all the charts and stuff you need to play. Then the community can expand from there – adding charts, creation processes, and other content onto the basic framework. I would continue to release my own additions as well.
Does that sound fun? How can I work with you to build this game? What would you like to see from this? Please send me a message and let me know.
I’m also thinking of replacing the old forum with some kind of Facebook feed – to integrate with the Evocraft facebook site. What do you think?
Looking forward to the future.
